Sakura Miyawaki 宮脇咲良 · 사쿠라

Sakura Miyawaki is a Japanese singer based in South Korea and a member of the girl group LE SSERAFIM under Source Music. She first became known across Asia as a member of the Japanese idol groups HKT48 and AKB48, then placed second on Produce 48 to debut in the global hit project group IZ*ONE. After IZ*ONE concluded, she relaunched her career in Korea and has become one of the most recognizable faces of the fourth generation of K-pop.

Career

HKT48 & AKB48 2011–2018

She joined HKT48 as a first-generation trainee in 2011 and went on to perform with AKB48 as well, becoming one of the most popular members of the Japanese idol scene and ranking highly in the AKB48 general elections.

Produce 48 · IZ*ONE 2018–2021

She finished second on Mnet's Produce 48 and debuted as a member of the twelve-piece Korean-Japanese group IZ*ONE on Oct 29, 2018 with “La Vie en Rose.” The group enjoyed enormous popularity across Asia before concluding its activities in April 2021.

LE SSERAFIM 2022–present

She debuted with LE SSERAFIM on May 2, 2022 with the EP Fearless. The group has since released hit title tracks including “Antifragile,” “Unforgiven,” “Easy” and “Crazy,” cementing her status as a global K-pop star.
